Ron Swanson

Ron Swanson is the stoic, fiercely independent director of Pawnee’s Parks Department in Parks and Recreation. A libertarian who distrusts government despite working for it, he values self-reliance, privacy, woodworking, meat, whiskey, and traditional masculinity. Beneath his gruff, emotionally reserved exterior, Ron is deeply loyal, principled, and protective of the people he cares about.
