My thoughts on Salvation (2026)

I was curious about Emin Alper's supposedly bigger film, hoping to continue the success and epicness of Burning Days, but I feel compelled to say that this is more of a political lesson than a film. While Burning Days was also a didactic film with a didactic tone, it was far more free and original in terms of allowing the viewer space. However, Salvation presents things that are clearly simple but obvious as if they were grand, and because it does so without giving the viewer space, it makes me think that this grandeur is nothing more than ego gratification. The existing religious references and allegorical narratives are so obvious and so bland that t…

What’s the difference between SX-first and SX-second?

When looking it up there’s mostly threads of people saying how rare SX-dom is and that they can tell when someone is one vs a sx-second because of the energy/intensity What would be some Anecdotes or Examples of the difference as far as how it actually looks IRL? Can’t really decide if I’m sx first or second, although I do have a hunch it’s probably my dominant instinct

Cursed Burger

This about sums up my day at work. 11-hour shift, 7:00am-6:00pm. Soaking wet, exhausted, our "helpers" and higher-ups standing around watching us work, etc. P.S. The burger patty is still there if anyone wants it. Soggy, but still edible with enough love. [image]

Resident Evil (2026)

[image] I've seen the new Resident movie with a friend of mine a couple of days ago, it's a movie that the fans will most likely love but those who are not in the "know" might find it mediocre. The Good Let's start with things I liked about the movie as a fan of the video game series: 1) There are many little easter eggs in this movie, they're not in your face, they're not that blatant nor do they feel forced, you're not taken away from the immersive experience of the movie, in fact, I think it adds something to it 2) The way it's filmed follows the nature of the series, it's third person heavy, you see what the character sees and what…

My Job Sucks (Testing)

So at my current job (while I'm waiting to be accepted into the Canadian Armed Forces), I'm basically a jack-of-all-trades that deals with hardware and lawn equipment. I work the front counter, go out with the back shop to set up tent rentals for weddings, inform customers about (and build) chainsaws and strong-trimmers, snowblowers, etc. However, the one task I hate more than anything else on the planet is being a "parts-person." AKA, someone who takes calls and inquiries for parts, whether that be carburetors, air filters, blades, etc. Am I qualified to be a parts person? Nope. Do I have any formal training? Also, nope. But it's my job anyways, and I…

Meaningful Thread

NOTE: Guys this is a test comment from reddit to test long form content. vv not me, LMAO My bf and I have been dating for 5 years. When we first started dating, I realized by bf would go to the bathroom minutes after eating and would always spend 20+ minutes in the bathroom. I would casually mention that sitting on the toilet that long isn’t good for your health but he would always brush me off. Once we moved in together 2 years ago and got more confortable, I noticed even more about his bathroom habits. He would sometimes come into the bathroom while I was showering to use the restroom. I told him that it didn’t sound normal. I said it sounded like…

Ivan Ilyich

The Death of Ivan Ilyich should be required reading for all E3s, especially SP3. Really puts into perspective what a life of doing only what's expected of you truly results: nothing to show

TEST (NOT MY POST)

TL;DR: My boyfriend is thinking about ending things. I'm hopeful he won't, but I don't know what to do or how to help. My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years and living together for 1 year. He recently sat me down and told me he's not sure he sees a future with us anymore, but he isn't sure if that's the right move or not. I thought we were on the same page, so I was blindsided. He said it wasn't something that I did or didn't do to make him think this way and that he's essentially felt like this the entire time we've been living together, but didn't want to say anything in hopes his mind would change. He went…
